On the 19th December the ergo building at Bridgehead Park opened its doors to the Green Port Hull Christmas networking event 2018.
Created, managed and produced by Mindmap Productions, it featured an in house green screen studio with presenter Lisa Kelsey and a full TV production crew broadcasting The ergo News channel to a 2m x 5m video wall, projection screens and monitors across two stories.
More than 200 local business delegates attended to network and to celebrate some business milestone achievements.
Dawn Hall, Project Manager Green Port Growth Programme, said: “We have just spent six years developing the Green Port Growth Programme, so we wanted to use the day to celebrate some of the achievements of companies, people, and organisations we have supported throughout that time. “We’re very pleased to have played a small part in helping companies achieve their successes, and made as much as possible from the opportunities presented to them.”
Green Port Hull commissioned local, award winning artist, Saffron Waghorn to create five individual tokens of their appreciation. Saffron described her approach to the brief, “They’re called Portaliums because these companies and their people have pushed themselves and their ideas through a portal, to a point where they’ve created something that is out of the norm, with cutting-edge ideas and ways of working.
These ‘Portaliums’ were presented throughout a lively morning of activity which included sixteen business success videos, presentations by Siemens and Ørsted, a short video of the University of Hull’s Impact Assessment of Green Port since its creation, along with plenty of networking opportunities.
